Larry's Hint:

Generally, red signs contain the most restrictive parking rule. Here you have all red signs. Watch out! The three-headed monsters are very confusing. Always beware when you see a parking sign regulating commercial vehicles. It generally means that private passenger vehicles are either prohibited, or only allowed to park with strict days/hours limits.

Exeption: "The operator of a vehicle may temporarily stand therein for the purpose of expeditiously receiving and discharging passengers provided such standing does not interfere with any bus about to enter or leave such zone"

Larry's Hint:

"Temporarily" means 2 minutes or less. How do you document the fact that you were receiving or discharging a passenger, if your registration is scanned by a parking ticket warrior? How about using your cell phone to take a photo of the warrior and another photo of your passenger on the way to your vehicle?  Photographs are great evidence to document your defense.

Larry's Hint:

When you see a red sign beware. When you see a red sign with an exception for commercial vehicles beware, beware, if you are a private passenger vehicle. There are strict days/hours limitations for private passenger vehicles. Start with the strictest sign first, i.e. the red sign that only permits commercial vehicle to park during certain hours. You can move on quickly, if the time you wish to park conflicts with the days/hours that only permits commercial vehicles to park. Since the third red sign has no arrows, assume it covers the entire block in both directions until the next parking sign; or the end of the block
